Houston, we have a problem…

Barrie 2016 HANDS Team:

Currently, eight of the twelve HANDS team members have arrived in Belize.  John, John, Ed, Cor, Steve, Janine, Colleen, met Chuck in the Belize City airport.  Four members of our team: Julia, Sydney, Amber and Sion were held up in Houston in order to sort out some paperwork.  This is a case of the airline looking out for everyone’s best interest, but there is still a frustrating wrinkle in the travels.  On a positive note, the airline is covering the extra expenses of the additional stay of the team members in Houston.

Prayer notes:

- Praise for our awesome Lord

- Thanksgiving for safety and relatively smooth flights so far

- Thanksgiving for the gracious drivers that took us to the airport:  Harry, Dave, and Jacco – Thank you all so much!

- Continued travelling safety for the team members still travelling tomorrow

- Wisdom, protection and guidance on our activities and interactions for our time in Belize

Please forgive the brief blog for today.  It has been a long day of travels.  We are looking forward to reporting on our first work day tomorrow!

Just heard from Sion that he and the girls are finally in Belize! An answer to prayer! Praying that Day One goes smoothly for the rest of the team!

Great title, "Houston, We Have a Problem". And in that same theme, "Failure was not an Option." :) . . . and the mission goes on. And just like the first blog's title . . . "It's all Coming Together".

The 2016 HANDS Team is a strong team with great experience and enthusiasm . . . it is great to see how they worked through this incident and overcame it . . . at least based on the news in the following blog. God is great!
