Last year (2012) we had a training on “Contours of Christian Education” conducted by our Canadian team. My best teaching moment came soon after that. Immediately after the training course ended and on the very first day of school, I organized my pupils for assembly - to sing the national anthem followed by devotions (reading of the Bible and prayers). After that they went into their classes and the pupils were very happy because that was the first time we had morning devotions in our school. Then when I went for lessons in P3 Science class, I integrated Christian Worldview into this subject, e.g. my topic was SOIL, and I was able to begin my lesson by saying that God has created the world and God has given us the authority to care for it, and that it is God that has created many beautiful things on the earth, and that today we are going to talk about – SOIL. God has not created bad things for us, he has given us useful things, soil for farming, bricks for building, houses, homes for animals and insects, etc. The pupils understood my lesson easily, therefore I praise God for giving me this chance at this training for easy and enjoyable teaching.
