My name is Neolani Catzim, a second year student at Cornerstone Presbyterian High School. I live in San Jose Village in the Orange Walk District. My father is the Pastor of the Presbyterian Church in my village.

I ride the bus to school each day. The bus ride is about 30 minutes one way. Every day my family gives me money for my bus fare, lunch, and school projects when needed. These expenses are in addition to the school fees.  My family has difficulty finding money on time for my school expenses. My mother is a house wife. She does not have a salary. And my dad’s salary is not enough many times, especially since I have a younger sister in elementary school also.

That is why I really thank the Lord Jesus for having me be a recipient of a school scholarship this year. With this opportunity to study and with such a great help to my family, I feel motivated to put all my efforts in my studies. I trust that with God’s help I will achieve my goals of becoming a school teacher!  In this way I can help other students learn to put God first in their lives, and also help them understand that God provides for our needs.

I can see that He provides.  He has done it through the scholarship given me this school year!
