“Hello, my name is Laisha.  I am 14 years old, in grade 8 at Presbyterian Day School.  I live in the rural community of Patchacan which is three miles away from my school.  Every day I, with many other children, ride the bus to school.

I am very proud to attend Presbyterian Day School.  One reason is because my father attended this same school.  Another reason is because at PDS we learn how to behave in God’s beautiful creation.  At PDS I am also helped to learn how to treat people, and also how to read God’s Word, the Bible. Every morning we have a time called Devotion.  At devotion time, we sing, pray and read the Bible.  My teacher gives each of us an opportunity to lead devotion.  This helps me to learn not to be nervous in front of people.
In PDS we do many projects.  The picture with this story shows a project we did to help us appreciate people of different races and cultures. God made us ALL.  I did this project with my cousin Eliezer.  Eliezer is also in grade 8.  We can do projects together because our families go to the same church.

I am thankful for PDS!  In PDS I made many friends.  We sang together, and we also did projects together.  When we have problems our teachers advise us and pray with us. I am about to leave PDS and am going to high school. But I will not forget what I learned at PDS.”
