A Student at Msuzi Basic School

“Before coming to Msuzi Basic School I was involved in a very bad life,” says Esther. “I did this because of problems with school fees.  Fortunately, the CCAP Education Department assisted me by providing sponsorship for me to be able to attend Msuzi Basic School.  I received this sponsorship through the power of God.  This brought me confidence, and I grew both in faith in God and in moral living.”

Scholarships for vulnerable children, one of the priorities set by CCAP and a way that EduDeo supports this partner, gives hope and the possibility of education to children who would otherwise not be able to receive education.  Often these children are orphans, living with grandparents, other extended family, or other caring community members.  Esther’s story is an example of a child caught in a hard place simply to make ends meet and to escape the cycle of poverty and hopelessness.  Through scholarship to one of CCAP’s schools, Esther and others are not simply given an education, but are also guided in growth in the Gospel and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and adoption into God’s family.  As they are taught about their place in God’s kingdom, orphans finally find a home and their hearts are transformed for eternity.

Esther goes on to share “I am now even able to encourage my friends not to lose hope when things are not good for them in life.  I wish that more vulnerable children could benefit from this system – so many are married early due to poverty”.
