A School that is part of PCSB

Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool is situated at the entrance of San Narciso village. San Narciso is the largest village in Corozal District, Belize. San Narciso is home to approximately 3000 people of Mestizo ethnic – Spanish speaking background, who are predominantly Catholic. Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool was started in 2006 under the direction of the Presbyterian Church of Belize, by the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in San Narciso. Their mission is to glorify God and prepare young Belizian children with the gospel of grace, in order to equip them to serve their community.

Redeemer Presbyterian Preschool is an early childhood centre with the aim of laying a biblical foundation of Christian values in the hearts of the education system’s youngest children. This requires holistic early childhood opportunities, and expansion of facilities as well as training of teachers in early education are required to meet this goal. The preschool has an excellent reputation in the community for church support, qualified and caring teachers, being well organized and intentional in its goals. There is currently one full time teacher for the 25-30 students. The teacher, a committed Christian, holds an associate degree, along with professional early childhood training. There is currently no other staff, although there is desire for an employed assistant in the classroom, which is not possible at present due to financial constraints.

Redeemer Presbyterian School requested support because of their great need for a bigger classroom, an adequate playground, and educational resources for the teacher.  The school community worked together to fundraise for these needs, and parents  donated educational materials as well as manual labour for the school yard fence. EduDeo Ministries was pleased to work alongside this community.
