A School that is part of PCSB

Orange Walk is a town located in the northern part of Belize on the road to Corozal. New Life Presbyterian School began there in 1996 with the opening of a day care center for 12 children. The school was started when the local Presbyterian church realized how great a need there was for quality education in their community. They also saw how Christ-centred schooling could be a highly effective ministry tool. The following year, they registered with the Ministry of Education as a preschool and their enrollment increased to 17 children. In 1998, the Ministry granted a license to operate a full primary school and over subsequent years, the student population continued to grow.  The need for classrooms became a pressing issue.

Over the years HANDS teams have assisted with the re-construction of classrooms and an auditorium on the third floor. Most of the school is safe and useable now - God has provided the means for this school to open their doors to more and more students who will be transformationally impacted at New Life through the solid Christ-centred teaching of well trained and equipped teachers.

Thank you for the pictures of the school and the Principle Ruth. I remember well the work we did on the 3 rd Floor, when we worked on some of the classroom ceilings to keep the pidgeons out. God has blessed you over the years and we pray for His continued blessings.
