A School that is part of ACECEN

Matagalpa Christian School is still in its early formative years but is growing quickly!  This new school is being built in the city of Matagalpa, about 3 hours away from the capital city of Managua, Nicaragua.  It is the 2nd largest city in Nicaragua and is a key agricultural trading centre.  The school is developing on a 12 acre plot in an excellent location. In February 2013 the school opened its door to 42 children from preschool through Grade 6.  February 2014 saw 140 start the school year.  After these grades are firmly established and the buildings complete, middle and high school levels will be added.  Matagalpa Christian School seeks to not only give quality education to the children in Matagalpa but also to be a model and mentor school to other Christian Schools in the region.

Matagalpa Christian School will be a satellite school of Nicaragua Christian Academy (NCA).  NCA’s mission is to equip children of Christian parents with the spiritual discernment, the moral courage and the academic excellence to impact society through Christian living motivated by a heartfelt love for God. Founded in 1991 as an English language Christian education, today NCA has grown to over 285 students and 29 teachers. NCA also provides a comparable Spanish language Christian education for Nicaragua's "middle income" families through daughter schools, NCA Nejapa established in 2005 and now NCA Matagalpa.  Both schools will offer children an academic and Christian foundation that are essential in forming tomorrow's leaders in a country that is desperate for strong, moral leadership.

Hi Dana,

This school will have a spanish language curriculum similar to the Nejapa Nicaragua Christian Academy (NCA) campus in Managua. There is a third NCA school also in Managua which is a english language curriculum.
