A School that is part of COCREF

Filadelfia Christian School in Cristo Rey began in 1982 with the aim of providing quality Christ-centred education at a low cost to those who could not afford it. It started with a kindergarten in the church building.  The school immediately filled a great need in the community and the second year, two more grade levels were added. The school outgrew the capacity within the church building and an addition was added behind the church.

They again outgrew those facilities and were blessed to work together with HANDS Teams to build a second floor, large school addition above the church.

God is blessing this school and it continues to grow!  A three-storey school building was completed in 2005 to accomodate new students.  Today Cristo Rey has grades Kindergarten through 8th with over 300 students enrolled!

It was an important milestone for the school when they could complete the elementary level education.  The first 8th graders graduated in 1996.
