A Time of Praise and Thanksgiving

Blog Archives:

I Thessalonians 5:16-18 says,

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

For Christians, Thanksgiving has been celebrated as a day to give thanks to God for His gracious and sufficient provision. Scripturally, we find things related to thanksgiving from cover to cover. The Bible is filled with commands to give thanks to God. Furthermore, thanksgiving and praise always go together. We cannot adequately praise and worship God without also being thankful.

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving this year, the team at EduDeo Ministries would like to take the time to truly thank our Lord and Saviour for his continued rich blessings. We would also like to use this time to thank you – our support community – for your generous giving!

EduDeo Ministries has many things to be thankful for and in everything we give praise to our Heavenly Father:

  • We thank God for the 272 HANDS participants that made up 25 HANDS teams and which served 13 different schools in 4 countries.
  • We thank God for 242 Sponsors that give almost $100,000 annually in support of our partners around the world.
  • We thank God for the Zambian partnership review which confirmed a tremendous amount of change taking place within the Zambian schools.
  • We thank God for teachers like Jose who are passionate about serving God within Nicaragua and who love to learn.
  • We thank God for partner organizational leaders like Mario Matos who have a passion for both developing leadership skills in COCREF principals as well as Christ-centered education.
  • We thank God for Rev. Alvaro Pott and his vision and ability to bring unity and a common purpose to the Presbyterian schools in Belize.
  • We thank God that, despite a level of instability in South Sudan, EduDeo is still able to empower and equip South Sudanese national education trainers.
  • We thank God for the many different people who pray for, volunteer and financially contribute to EduDeo’s ministry.

As we take time to think about God’s blessing in our lives this Thanksgiving weekend, we realize we have so many material and spiritual gifts to be thankful for. Whether in ministry, work or personal life, we pray your family, church and school will be blessed throughout the fall season.

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Psalm 118:29
