Advent Devotional Series: Glory to God in the Lowest

Blog Archives:

Read Philippians 2:1-11.

Christmas is the story of Jesus who was with God and was God, taking on human flesh and living among this world as Saviour. The Bible tells us Jesus emptied Himself “by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness” (Philippians 2:7).
This was God`s highest act of love! And it is summed up in these words:

Emptying.
Made Himself nothing.
Being made in human flesh.
Taking the very nature of a servant.

Today, the term ‘POWER is understood by strength and might. Those who we deem as heroes and champions are the ones who score the most goals, act in the best movies or accumulate the most wealth.

Jesus certainly would not be among the ten most wealthy in our society. Nor would He want to be.

And yet it is true that Jesus takes His place in our world – without equal.

The reason for this?

The reason is that Jesus stooped to our weaknesses. He binds up our wounds and carries our sins, as He makes it count for nothing. Forgotten.

We are privileged to represent this Saviour. We are called to serve this world in His Name. And when we go out and do just that, we are amazed and blessed to be able to witness the greatest power God gives us – the power of unconditional love.

EduDeo Ministries does not succeed by earthly power. Instead it is through partnership powered by God’s everlasting grace and love.

As Christ servants, we succeed when we take our place with the Saviour and allow the world to see Him.
