World Teacher's Day!

Blog Archives:

A "Call for Teachers" is the slogan for World Teachers' Day 2013! We join the world in celebrating and recognizing all the teachers who act as ‘Agents of Transformation’ as we work together to bring quality, Christian education for all children!

Teachers are at the forefront of bringing not only knowledge but a Biblical worldview to the children. EduDeo Ministries is excited to be walking alongside our partners who empower teachers through training that impacts not only their students but the whole community. We are excited to share with you a few personal stories from two of our partner countries.

Nicaragua

Nicaraguan teacher Carolina de los Ángeles Sandino Castillo expressed with gratitude her new knowledge that came from the Biblical worldview training provided by ACECEN and supported by EduDeo that in turn has impacted her personal life, and helped in her community, with co-workers, students and their parents.

“The biblical worldview has strengthened my teaching because I learned it is not about relating a verse from the bible with science, but the perfect opportunity to transmit eternal values to the students that are living in a world full of evilness, this has been uplifting because they reflex what they have learned, when the classmates make mistakes, they quote biblical verses that contain the values from the kingdom of God.”

This understanding has greatly impacted how Carolina approaches training as she recognizes her calling with her students and provides follow up, accompanying, advising and tutoring. Through this she has seen a positive change as well in the relationships between her own students and their parents.

Dominican Republic

Nicara Colegios Cristianos Reformados (COCREF) is excited that over 85 per cent of their teachers model cooperative learning methodology which has allowed the students to work within a cooperative environment, empowering them to be of service to God and their community.

COCREF’s Jericho school, located in the community of Fao, are also seeing great achievements within the implementation of the Biblical worldview as they witness positive changes within their student's behaviour.

COCREF has further expanded the Biblical Worldview training to the community of Sosua, Puerto Plata located in the north of the country. This was the first time they performed this training to teachers there and an amazing forty-five teachers and principals were in attendance!

Join us in praying and uplifting our partners and the teachers who play such a vital role in the lives of these children and their communities.
