Students run around school campus 550 times!

Blog Archives:

As beneficial and important as the Terry Fox run is, on Wednesday, October 10th Koinonia Christian Academy (KCA) changed their annual run to EduDeo’s Road2Hope: School Edition. As a Christian school, they felt it was a better fit.

It was a resounding success!

We were pumped to see all the pictures and footage from this event. It looked like a lot of fun, and we loved how they took it and made it their own.

Check out the video of the starting line!

KCA put their own spin on the race and promoted a “Loonie per Loop”. The perimeter of the campus, about 800 metres around, became the loop. Students and teachers ran or walked that loop as many times as they could in 30 minutes. In total they travelled 442 km in 550 loops! Parents, church staff and other guests were all invited to participate by running or walking, and by sponsoring a student a loonie per loop. Great idea Koinonia!

This was the first time KCA partnered with EduDeo and we are grateful for the new relationship. We were honoured when they told us that they chose EduDeo Ministries to distribute their gift because they found it to be a meaningful ministry. More than that, EduDeo has a purpose that fits well with KCA’s mission, which is:

“Building relationships with God,
one another and the world.”

Well said. What a great mission for a community, a school, and for individuals. Thanks Koinonia Christian Academy for your enthusiasm and for joining us in advancing Christ-centred education around the world.

Would you join Koinonia and EduDeo Ministries in making a difference by supporting teacher training in Africa? Help us reach our goal to raise $25K by December 25th. Give a little, or give a lot and spread the Word!
