Road2Hope 2012 was a success!

Blog Archives:

Today was an incredible day.

Seeing everyone come together to do something for a great cause was an inspiration to us all. A record number of participants also resulted in a record amount raised for EduDeo Ministries through this event!

Supporters from across this nation rallied together to raise over $65,000 for EduDeo Ministries - and all the pledges haven't even been counted yet!

Participants can check their race times here by clicking on the event they participated in and we will be uploading even more photos than you see here to our Road2Hope Photo Gallery.

There is still time to pledge to a participant - submit your Road2Hope donations by Friday, November 9th to help a participant reach their fundraising goal and receive their thank you prize!

THE IMPACT

EduDeo specifically partners with indigenous, locally-run Christian schools and associations who are focused on reaching out to children and communities that are suffering from inequality and injustice. Through initiatives such as scholarships for vulnerable children, school construction projects, curriculum development and teacher training, EduDeo has seen firsthand the incredible transformation that takes place when children are given the opportunity to learn and encounter the Gospel at the same time!

The support that you raised will ensure that this kind of transformation continues to take place. For instance, this past October, EduDeo sent 2 volunteer educators to Nicaragua to conduct a week of workshops for teacher trainers on how to integrate a Biblical worldview. This day was not really about running and prizes and even fun, although they are all great. But the day was about kids in the majority world (developing nations) who will be the beneficiaries of all the work and fund raising efforts. It's about better teachers and better schools giving these children better opportunities for learning and making an impact on their cultures as they deepen their understanding of God's Will for the world and their place in it. Great job, everyone! Those of us who couldn't be there rejoice with you.
