Africa Roundtable - Call for Prayer

Blog Archives:

We originally blogged about the Africa Roundtable here a few months ago.  We invite you to join us in prayer for this conference.  EduDeo Ministries will be represented at the conference by Executive Director, Hank de Jong. Following is an email and call for prayer from conference organizer, Judy Marais.

As children of God we know of the greatness of our God, but as we approach the Africa Roundtable 2012 (ART2), and having experienced so many miracles during various stages of the ART2 preparations, we have almost a new awareness of the power of our mighty God.

From the planning and preparations for this incredible event, to the support and encouragement received from all corners of the world, at times of vulnerabilities, intense pressure, and deadlines that had to be met, to the Holy Spirit prompting God’s children worldwide to let us know that we were being covered by prayer, He never ceased to amaze us!  It truly is the time for Africa!

We are thankful for your prayers and pray God’s blessings upon each and every one of you that kept us united, with a common goal, and as the family of God, to bring praise, glory and honour to our Father.

As we continue with the final preparations, we ask that you please pray:

  • For the speakers as they finalize their presentations;
  • For the translators/interpreters who will translate/interpret the presentations from English to French and from French to English;
  • For the roundtable leaders, praise and worship teams, devotion leaders, and Ebenezer speakers;
  • For the 150 delegates that will be attending from 35 countries -- for their flight arrangements and for safe travelling mercies;
  • That each and every delegate will make a meaningful contribution that will impact Christian education in Africa;
  • For all the roundtable discussions that will lead to the 2017 Africa Master Plan;
  • For Willow Park Conference Centre, as they prepare their teams to receive the delegates;
  • For the ACSI Africa Planning and Organizing Team;
  • For good health for the delegates, the teams, as well as for every person involved in the ART2.

Thank you for praying with us.

The conference starts August 12 in South Africa.  We will keep you posted on the latest developments coming from the conference!

What a wonderful opportunity to connect and build relationships with our sisters and brothers in Africa especially in serving together to bless children and their communities.
