EduDeo Ministries Unites Schools in Canada and Nicaragua

Blog Archives:

British Columbia Lower Mainland-based Abbotsford Christian School and the Managua-based, Nicaragua Centro de Fe Christian School have been developing an amazing partnership through EduDeo Ministries’ growing School2School Program for the past year and a half. This is an exciting development for Christian schools in both Canada and around the world, as students and teachers in different countries and cultures interact and learn from each other!

School2School links individual Christian schools in Canada to one of EduDeo Ministries’ partner schools in a developing country, encouraging international relationships based on mutual trust to deepen understanding of God's work through His people around the world.

The purpose of the program is to facilitate an understanding between two Christian schools across international, geographic and cultural boundaries and foster an appreciation for Christ-centred education in a different country. Partner schools learn about the culture, history and way of life in a different culture and discover the rich way God is working locally to create valuable members of the body of Christ.

Partnering with the Nicaragua Association of Christian Schools (ACECEN) and the Managua-based Nehemiah Center, EduDeo Ministries’ School2School Program allows students and teachers at Abbotsford Christian School to personally connect with students and teachers at Centro de Fe Christian School in Nicaragua.

Abbotsford Secondary School principal Gerry Goertzen is excited about the relationship:

“I really didn't know much about the work until I traveled to Nicaragua with our school's team during spring break,” noted the school administrator. “Once I was there, I was blown away by the ministry that is taking place through EduDeo Ministries!”

Here is a video that Abbotsford Christian School put together about their recent experience in Nicaragua:
