Road2Hope: What You Need to Know

Road2Hope is this weekend!

Thank you again for participating in this amazing event. We're blessed to have you on our team - and are grateful for all the fundraising you've done this year. We've yet to reach our goal - so keep it up - the finish line is in sight!

We've included detailed information for the weekend below.

First, we want to highlight a few things: 

  1. EduDeo runners get a uniquely branded race shirt! Pick yours up from the EduDeo rep at the shirt table. Please do not pick up a R2H 'general' shirt as well. 
  2. Come early to pick up your race kits! There are lots of people around on race day. Give yourself at least an hour before your race starts to find parking, pick up your race kit, your shirt, and to prep for your race. Better yet, come on the Friday to avoid the rush!
  3. There are two different 1K kids races this year. Kids who are 7-12 years old run at 9:15 am. Kids who are 2-6 years old run at 9:30 am.

Friday, November 3, 2017

  • 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Come to EduDeo's Registration Booth (in the first tent): 
    • Drop off your pledges (at EduDeo's registration table)
    • Pick up your race kit (at regular registration tables)
    • Get your EduDeo race t-shirt from the EduDeo rep at the shirt tables.

NOTE: It's strongly recommended that you pick up your race kit on Friday. The registration tent will be extremely busy on Saturday, with 2,000+ people participating!

  • 8:00 am - Registration opens
  • 9:00 am - Opening ceremonies and announcements
  • 9:15 am - 1K Run for Kids (7-12 years old) 
  • 9:30 am - 1K Run for Kids (2-6 years old)
  • 10:00 am - 5K Run/Walk
  • 11:00 am - 1K Retro (Backwards) Run
  • 11:30 am - 10K Run/Walk

  • 7:45 am - Full Marathon
  • 8:00 am - Half Marathon
    • Kits MUST be picked up on Friday (1:00 pm - 6:00 pm) or Saturday (8:00 am - 4:00 pm).
    • The start-line is at ArcelorMittal Dofasco Park.
    • You can park at the finish line at Confederation Park and shuttles will be provided to the start line (starting at 5:00 am). The last bus leaves at 6:45 am. There is NO shuttle back to ArcelorMittal Park at the end of the race.
    • Please be aware of the daylight savings time change this weekend.


Give yourself lots of time to get to the start-line - due to road closures for the race, there will be heavy traffic. 

There is NO parking at ArcelorMittal Dofasco Park. The free parking is provided 400m from the Park at "Starlite Drive-In" located on Green Mountain Road.


  1. If you can't pick up your race kit on Friday, give yourself at least 1 hour before your race to register and make it to the starting line (on time).
  2. If you're walking or have a stroller, please position yourself at the back of the line for each race.
  3. We would love for you to share your pictures of the day. So when the race is done, please link them to our Facebook page or Tweet out (@edu_deo) or post to Instagram (@edudeo_ministries) and use #Run2Impact150.
