Humble servants

Blog Archives:

The tears rolled down her cheeks as she took in the compliment of what amazing work she was doing.

Hilda is the principal of Colegio Baptista Libertad.

We met Hilda for the first time five years ago when we visited her school. Today the school has 512 students with one class having 48 students in it. Her passion for teaching, her vision for the school and her dedication to team work is evident.

"Love of God, love of the children and love for the community inspires these two women as they rely on God through prayer."

Carolina, her vice principal, readily expressed her appreciation of being able to complement Hilda through the use of her own gifts. Love of God, love of the children and love for the community inspires these two women as they rely on God through prayer to bless their efforts to provide Christian Education in what Canadians would consider a “poor” area of Managua. It was a privilege to hear of their efforts to improve the school through ACECEN’s school improvement plan.

Tomorrow we will visit some more schools.
