Internship Opportunity: Web Development Internship


To assist with the integration of web and communication technology with EduDeo’s new donor database system so that EduDeo can more effectively communicate with its support community.

Description of Responsibilities and Duties:

The Assistant Web Developer will work with the Marketing Director to:

a) Assist with the design and development of EduDeo’s website.

b) Assist with the integration of EduDeo’s website with its donor database.

c) Assist with the reconfiguration of EduDeo’s website so that it is mobile friendly.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Applicant must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • Have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
  • Be a Canadian citizen;
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

EduDeo is looking for a university student who is studying in the field of Computer Sciences and/or Web Design & Development, as the job will involve web design and development.  Successful applicants will be asked to show examples of any relevant work.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be proficient in web design and development (PHP, javascript, HTML-5, CSS, AJAX), data modeling and manipulation, and graphic design (experience with donor databases is also an asset);
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing;
  • Be creative in strategizing and forming relevant materials.
