Communications Job Opportunity at EduDeo Ministries

EduDeo Ministries is seeking to hire a Communications Coordinator to fill a maternity leave position. Interested applicants should submit their resume and cover letter by August 3, 2011 to info@edudeo.com.

Role: To provide high-quality communication (print, web and email) to donors, churches and schools within Canada.

Goal: To have a growing and active supporting community that contributes generously to fulfill the vision and mission of EduDeo Ministries.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an intentional and engaging online presence
  • Develop and schedule effective mailings
  • Develop effective promotional materials for EduDeo
  • Manage communications plan & materials for events
  • Ensure that the donor database is being utilized properly in order to track current/past activity and inform future planning
  • Ensure all materials support a cohesive brand message
  • Provide supervision and direction to all staff with regards to all promotion and communication to ensure a consistent brand message is being upheld

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Business/Marketing or a related field
  • Experience in communications/marketing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, website management, and database management
  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity within a team environment
  • Detail-oriented & organized
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines
  • Understanding of the web (social media, HTML, analytics, SEO, etc)
  • Understanding of fundraising strategy and implementation
  • Ability to think strategically, developing an overall plan while implementing the details

May I enquire to the location of this position. I assume it is in the Hamilton Office? Also what are the hours and is it a full time / five day a week position?

This position is located at the Hamilton office and it is full time (Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30).

The salary is to be determined with the selected applicant. The benefits package does not apply to this position because it is a contract maternity leave position - benefits only apply to permanent positions.

The hours are 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday (full-time).
